OWNER & STYLIST

Wendy (she/her) brings nearly 25 years of expertise as a cosmetologist. After residing in Denver from 2006 to 2019, she opened her first salon there in 2016, where she pursued her passion for hairstyling and mentoring new talent. Wendy also excels with blonde color techniques, redheads, balayage, bobs, curls and pixie cuts. Additional training in NYC with Bumble and bumble, Vidal Sassoon L.A. and attended classes with celebrity stylist, Ted Gibson. What sets her salon apart? The unique approach of pricing based on hair length, not gender.

BARBER

Madi (they/them) proudly graduated from the College of Hair Design in 2023 and has quickly developed impressive skills with skin fades and taper cuts. Primarily focuses on shorter haircuts, they also offer an array of grooming services such as straight razor shaves and waxing-including ears and nose. As a former EMT, Madi brings a unique blend of fun and care, fostering a relaxed and affirming atmosphere that makes every client feel valued. Also great with kids of all ages and special needs.

STYLIST

Tara (she/her) has been a licensed Cosmetologist for almost 10 years and recently made the move to Lincoln from Kearney. Even though Tara is not a barber, she truly enjoys shorter haircuts, perms and beard trims. An expert at military-styles, brow waxing and traditional color services like gray coverage but her true passion lies in providing gender-affirming haircuts and services that helps everyone express their unique identity and style with confidence. Also, an open heart for those on the spectrum. A hidden gem and accepting new clients!

STYLIST

Leyla (she/her) is a highly skilled, licensed cosmetologist and recent graduate from the College of Hair Design in 2024. With a passion for blondes, long layers and amazing blowout styles-she creates stunning hair transformations. With peppy personality and sweet disposition, she is an ideal fit for new clients who have longer hair lengths or clipper cuts! Whether it's a beautiful highlight, root retouches or color corrections, Leyla takes immense pride in ensuring that every client leaves her chair with beautiful and healthy hair. Leyla prefers to work with clients aged 10 and up, allowing her to connect with individuals seeking a fresh new look.

THREADING SPECIALIST

With over 14 years of experience, Laila (she/her) is an expert in the art of brow threading. Raised in Iraq, where threading was the only hair removal method, she offers precise, long-lasting results for both men and women. Threading is ideal for sensitive skin and allows for clean, defined brows without the irritation of waxing. Laila takes pride in helping clients look and feel their best, from shaping brows to removing unwanted facial hair. She is also bilingual in Kurdish Arabic and takes pride in her work. Outside of the salon, she stays busy with her husband and three kids, enjoys cooking and exercising. Walk-in or book online, working Saturdays only.

SALON ASSISTANT & COSMETOLOGIST

Kianna (she/her) grew up in a tight-knit town of just 400 people in rural Nebraska, where strong family bonds shaped her grounded and genuine personality. Now based in the capital city, she’s embracing the energy and opportunity that comes with it. A recent graduate of the College of Hair Design, Kianna is a licensed cosmetologist currently pursuing her barbering license to achieve dual certification. As a fresh face in the industry, she brings a warm presence, strong work ethic, and a hunger to learn. She’s currently completing our Stylist Training Program on Mondays only, as she builds hands-on experience. Accepting new clients soon!

COSMETOLOGIST & BARBER

Lauryn is a a recent graduate of the College of Hair Design. receiving dual-licenses in cosmetologist and barbering. Originally from Milford, she brings her small-town warmth and charm to your appointment with her welcoming smile, witty personality, and ability to make you feel comfortable. Her ideal clients include children’s cuts, pre-teens to high school students seeking natural highlights, and long layers. As a barber, Lauryn excels at fresh straight razor shaves and clipper cuts but prefers to refer skin fades to another skilled teammate. Outside of the salon, Lauryn enjoys cooking and baking, country music, and discovering new spicy foods.

BARBER

Diego is a barbering professional who graduated from the College of Hair Design in 2023. With a strong foundation in clipper work, he specializes in precision tapers and fades, and is especially skilled at creating clean, sharp skin fades. While he excels in classic techniques, Diego also enjoys experimenting with styles outside the ordinary—pushing boundaries and crafting fresh looks that clients don’t typically see. Beyond the chair, Diego has a growing passion for music and loves discovering both new and old tracks he’s never heard before. His creativity, curiosity, and dedication to the craft make him a dynamic addition to the Smith & Comb team.
