Wendy (she/her) brings 25 years of experience, working in both Denver and Lincoln. In 2024, she opened Smith & Comb creating an inclusive, welcoming space grounded in education and teamwork. Known for lived-in natural color, sun-kissed blondes, bobs, and refined short hairstyles, Wendy now focuses heavily on mentoring her team and growing the business. With limited availability, she is no longer accepting new clients.

BARBER & COSMETOLOGIST

Kianna (she/her) is a 2025 graduate of the College of Hair Design and holds dual licenses in cosmetology and barbering. An excellent fit for students and young professionals, Kianna is great with long layered hair, perms and highlighting services. Kianna also enjoys working with kids to teens and comfortable with both short and longer styles. Outside of the salon, she enjoys staying active and can often be found at her favorite gym.

Sara (she/her) is our skin-fading queen! With 21 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, Sara brings serious skill and attention to every cut. Spending much of her career in fast-paced salons, Sara was ready to give clients quality over quantity. She has extensive experience with textured clipper cuts and skin fades. Sara is also passionate about creating a comfortable experience for individuals with special needs. This mom of five is a self-proclaimed movie buff.

Jett (she/her) is a licensed barber and a valued member of the Smith & Comb team. She is great with kids of all ages, clean clipper work and short hair perms. Jett prides herself on giving every client a welcoming experience and great conversation, and always setting high customer service standards. Hardworking and community-minded, Jett brings dedication, professionalism, and positive energy to the shop. She is also great with kids on the spectrum.

Emma (she/her) is a newer graduate from the Entourage Institute and dedicated to building her clientele. She strives to create styles that reflect each client’s unique lifestyle. A curly hair girl herself, Emma is confident working with texture and curls. Prior to her journey in hair, she studied fashion design, which fuels Emma's creative approach and wardrobe. In her free time, she enjoys watching anime and practicing DJing.

Tara (she/her) has been a licensed Cosmetologist for almost 10 years and made the move to Lincoln from Kearney in 2021. Even though Tara is not a barber, she truly enjoys clipper cuts, alternative hair colors and brow waxing. Her true passion lies in providing gender-affirming haircuts and working with those on the spectrum or non verbal.

Madi (they/them) graduated from the College of Hair Design in 2023 and has developed their skills with skin fades and taper cuts. Primarily focuses on shorter haircuts, especially gender affirming. They also offer an array of grooming services such as straight razor shaves. Madi brings a relaxed atmosphere where every client feels valued.

Alayna (she/her) is a licensed cosmetologist and the newest addition to the Smith & Comb team! She is currently working as our salon assistant, receiving advanced hands-on training while preparing to welcome clients into her chair in the coming months.

Alayna is passionate about making every guest feel confident and comfortable. Her bubbly personality is a great addition to our team!

THREADING SPECIALIST

Laila (she/her) has over 14 years of experience and is an expert in the art of brow threading. Raised in Iraq, where threading was the only hair removal method, she offers precise, long-lasting results for both men and women. Ideal for sensitive skin. Laila takes pride in helping clients shape their brows or removing any unwanted facial hair. Bilingual in Kurdish Arabic and English.
